Subscription boxes are one trend that I never got into. But, #yogisurprise boxes caught my eye while scrolling through Instagram.
Yogi Surprise Lifestyle Box FAQs’
When I went to the Yogi Surprise website to check ‘em out I decided to give a one-month subscription a try. What sealed the deal in persuading me to subscribe was the chance to win a yoga retreat valued at over $1000 (see below).
There are two subscription options; a lifestyle box & a jewelry box. Seeing as it was my first time ordering, I decided that it couldn’t hurt to give both a try.
What came in the February 2017 lifestyle box:
1. Jasmine Seven Yoga Mat Wipes ($4.00):
I love the convenience of these wipes. A big fan of making and using homemade mat spray (super easy!), I wasn’t sure about these at first. Having these wipes in my yoga bag is a first world pleasure that makes my life a bit simpler. Now that I am teaching yoga classes without having time to go home and clean my mat, I find these wipes to be super useful. Like the DIY mat spray that I make at home, these wipes are also made with Lavender and Tea Tree essential oils. Lavender essential oils soothing and calming. Tea Tree essential oils have cleansing and invigorating properties. Together, they make a nice blend for this purpose. They’re 100% natural and they didn’t aggravate my sensitive skin at all.
2. Cuccio Somatology Calming Yoga Elixir ($9.00):
This spray gives you that yoga studio lobby aroma; equal parts earthy and calm. A few spritzes of the Lavender and Cardamom essential oil blend creates a nice balanced vibe. I use the elixir as a room spray at home and would recommend it to yoga studios as well.
3. Bearded Brothers Bodacious Blueberry Vanilla ($3.00):
CONFESSION: I didn’t even snap a pic of this bar since I ate it the minute I opened the box (#mindfuleatingfail) lol. The upside is that this bar is actually super healthy. The ingredients are real (dried blueberries, yum). Better yet, it is important to notice what the bar comes without. No added oils or sweeteners are snuck in there. Organic sprouted rice powder tops it off with a bit of extra protein. This bar was delicious – I give it two gluten free thumbs up for sure!
4. Booda Butter Suds of Love All-In-One Soap ($7.00):
5. Balanced Guru Organic Hair Care ($23.00):
My hair was so happy to finally get some well-deserved love and respect. I have never dyed my hair and rarely put any heat (from hot tools) to it. Regardless, my locks needed some serious TLC. Tea Tree Oil, Oregano, and Rosemary essential oils work together in this blend to detoxify your scalp. Algae, Sea Kelp, and Brahmi restore moisture back to your hair and rejuvenate your roots.
6. Valentina’s Naturals Balancing Beauty Mist Toner ($22.00):
Less is best and this toner kicks it old school with grandma’s tried and true skincare regimen. Organic Apple Cider Vinegar and Organic Witch Hazel Extract are the main ingredients. The ACV balances your skin’s pH. The Witch Hazel is a natural astringent. It also hosts anti-inflammatory properties and calms irritated skin.
7. Yogi Surprise Yoga Sequence Series Card & *Bonus* Chakra Healing Stones (Free):
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, daily
Daily Vagabond Vinyasa yoga class
Optional activities e.g., horseback riding and whale watching
